Paris Packaging, Inc.
• Acquired by 21st Century Group in March 2004
• Headquartered in Paris, TX
• 21st Century Group exited the company in September 2011

The Company is primarily engaged in the manufacture of custom designed folding cartons used in the quick serve restaurant, bakery, and frozen food industry sectors.

The Company is headquartered in Paris, Texas with additional plants in Andalusia, Alabama and Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Notable customers include Cinnabon, Popeye’s, Church’s, Sonic Corporation, Perseco, Jack in the Box and Safeway. The Company ships products nationally to its customer base.

In September 2011, 21st Century Group sold Paris Packaging to Huhtamaki North America, a manufacturer of consumer goods packaging for the foodservice and retail industries.

The Republic Group

• 21st Century Group exited the company in December 2006

The Company is a property and casualty insurer which underwrites and insures personal property, personal auto and commercial lines.

The Company celebrated its 100th year in business in early September 2004. Republic was acquired from the Winterthur Group, a subsidiary of Credit Suisse Holdings.

On August 3, 2005, Republic Companies Group, Inc. completed its Initial Public Offering (NASDAQ – symbol RUTX) which raised approximately $84 million. In December 2006, Delek Capital Ltd. completed the merger agreement to acquire The Republic Group, purchasing the outstanding shares of Republic’s common stock.

SirsiDynix
• Acquired by 21st Century Group in July 2000
• Headquartered in Provo, UT
• 21st Century Group exited the company in January 2007

The Company is the world’s leading provider of library automation systems and software. The Company offers proprietary software along with the necessary third party hardware, software and services to deliver a complete automation solution to its library customers. The Company’s products are adapted for use in all types of libraries including academic, school, public and special libraries, varying from single site operations to large branch systems and consortia.  The Company has over 4,000 customers worldwide serving more than 23,000 individual library branches.

In August 2005, 21st Century Group successfully closed the merger of Dynix with Sirsi Holdings to form SirsiDynix, distributing proceeds to its limited partners, while retaining an equity stake in the merged entity. 21st Century Group fully exited its investment in January 2007, when SirsiDynix was sold to Vista Equity Partners.

Innovative Creative Packaging Solutions

Innovative is a leading manufacturer of folded-carton packaging. Its capabilities include carton design, special coatings, glues, die-cutting, and pre-folding cartons. Innovative has developed proprietary manufacturing processes to improve delivery and production times at a competitive cost.

Innovative’s marketing strategy is to focus on private label and generic drug companies that need short runs and have frequent packaging changes. Innovative’s operating strategy is to share converting and printing costs across multiple accounts and jobs, improving delivery times and production efficiency.

In March 2008, 21st Century Group and ICV Capital Partners sold Innovative to Multi Packaging Solutions, a platform of Bear Stearns Merchant Banking.

Banks Broadcasting
• Formed by 21st Century Group in June 2000
• Headquartered in Chicago, IL
• 21st Century Group exited the company in June 2009

The Company was formed to acquire television stations in small to mid-sized markets. Lyle Banks, an experienced television executive and formerly with NBC-Chicago, partnered with 21st Century Group and LIN Television to create this enterprise. 21st Century Group provided Banks Broadcasting with financial due diligence support and expertise. LIN Television continued to provide Banks Broadcasting with back office functions and support including engineering, finance, and programming. Banks Broadcasting also leveraged the buying power of LIN Television, formerly a UPN affiliate, to obtain the best pricing for syndicated programming.

Banks Broadcasting owned and operated a former UPN affiliate in Boise, Idaho and a former WB affiliate in Wichita, KS. The Company was awarded the CW affiliation in both markets in 2006. The company purchased the 700 MHz wireless spectrum in Idaho and Kansas in 2003. 21st Century Group fully exited the investment in June 2009.

Conley Lott Nichols
• Acquired by 21st Century Group in January 2002
• Headquartered in Dallas, TX
•21st Century Group exited the company in December 2010

The Company is an exclusive dealer and servicer of construction and paving equipment. The Company’s primary product lines include Gomaco, Etnyre, LeeBoy, Terex and Fercon, and previously Bobcat. The product lines are used in a variety of commercial and residential construction settings including airport, highway, street, driveway and parking lot paving.

In August 2003, the Company completed the acquisition of MPS Machinery, a distributor of rock crushing and screening equipment.

In March 2007, the Company completed the acquisition of Finishline Supply, Inc., an exclusive dealer of hydroseeder machinery and a distributor of mulch, seeds and fertilizer.

In December 2009, the Company sold the Bobcat division to The Berry Companies.

URBan Radio Broadcasting, LLC
• Formed by 21st Century Group in May 2005
• Headquartered in Miami, FL

21st Century Group and Goldman Sachs partnered with radio executive Kevin Wagner to create the Urban Radio platform. Urban Radio targets markets with the following characteristics:

• Arbitron-rated market 100+ where attractive consolidation opportunities exist
• Markets with total market radio revenue of $6 million or greater
• African American population of at least 15%
• Markets with no more than two existing urban-formatted FMs
• Key formats include Mainstream Urban, Urban AC, Urban Gospel and Rhythmic/CHR.

Urban owned and operated 23 radio stations located in Alexandria, Louisiana; Muscle Shoals, Alabama; Columbus, Mississippi; Meridian, Mississippi; Tupelo, Mississippi and Toledo, Ohio.
